Last week, Forestr.org had the incredible honor of attending the Caltrans District 4 Adopt-A-Highway Awards Ceremony in San Leandro — and we’re still feeling grateful for the recognition!
We were honored to receive an award for having the most litter pickup events in 2025. 🏆
But this award belongs to so many people.
Every cleanup represents volunteers who showed up, got their hands dirty, filled bags, and cared enough to give their time to our shared environment. It represents the Forestr.org team who organize and lead these events. And, most importantly, it represents an amazing partnership with Caltrans District 4.
We are incredibly thankful for the entire Caltrans team and for the people who make the Adopt-A-Highway program possible. From safety and coordination to providing the equipment and support that allows our volunteers to do this work, Caltrans has been an outstanding partner. We truly appreciate everything you do for our communities. 💚
Forestr.org is proud to work alongside Caltrans to keep our highways cleaner, safer, and more beautiful — one cleanup at a time.
Representing Forestr.org at the ceremony were Yon, Nimone, and Jeff, along with many other wonderful organizations and individuals being recognized for their commitment to California’s highways and communities.
And to every Forestr volunteer who joined us on the highway in 2025: this award is yours. 🙌
